One year ago I held my TEDx Talk "This bullshit might save the world - composting cow manure with biochar". In my talk I argue that animals, especially cows, play a vital role in sustainable, organic agriculture. But only if we feed them grass, not grains and soy beans.
After the talk I had many people ask me: where can i find beef that comes form 100% grass-fed cows. I did not have a clear answer. Today`s food labeling makes it impossible for consumers to know where exactly meat comes from and what the cows ate exactly. I decided to do something about this and after many months of work I am now happy to announce that I have launched www.Nose-to-Tail.ch
At Nose to Tail I sell beef from cows that live in harmony with natural cycles. Our cows are 100% grass fed, 100% antibiotics free and most importantly: we respect the animals and treat them with dignity. This means that we make sure that the cows die stress-free. Healthy cows are good for the planet and good for your health - and you probably guessed it: their meat is also the best!
It is very important to me that you, the consumer has 100% transparency as to how the cows grow up. So we sell you not just a "piece of meat" but let you buy a share in a cow. But not just any cow: we introduce to you every cow individually.
As of today www.Nose-to-Tail.ch is online and the cow Malve is up for sale. She was slaughtered on December 4th. We let the meat age for 30 days on the bone - deliveries will be made on January 5th (or later, frozen).
